Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Thanks for all the wonderful Birthday wishes! You're all awesome and it really put a smile on my face seeing all those wishes in my inbox.

I've been busy with real life stuff lately; my cousin is getting married this weekend!

My nephew also turned 7 two days ago! He's getting so big, it's crazy. My other sister wants me to move up to Orlando with her too. I want to try saving up a bit before I make the decision (though I think I would be happier up there and away from the folks). Other than that work has been keeping me busy too. I'll try to post more often in the future, I've got a sketchbook full of original concepts and the like. We'll see.

Anyway I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who left a message and doodles for me.
