Oh Hello

There was a little bar on 13th street that detective Michael Mouse (Mickey to his friends and co-workers) visited frequently, the only bar he frequented. It was nothing against any other bar in the city, if anyone should visit this bar they'd even say it was the same scene as any other, same drinks, same music- and at one time Mickey would agree but there was one little thing Jose's had that no other bar had. A sweet little mouse who could twist her way in and out of any situation...literally.

Sitting in his usual seat (the one with the red cushion all the way at the end) Mickey signaled Jose for the usual and waited. Patience was something he'd learned working with the police force (and was still perfecting but Cheif O'hara tended to turn the other cheek whenever Mickey was concerned since the boy did such a fine job) and Mickey found that it reaped ample rewards as well.

"Awww you're not wearing your hat today?"

Speak of the devil.

"Well someone keeps stealin' it off my head. Fella's gotta protect his hats from mischievous little thieves."

A melodious giggle caressed his ears and when he looked up his vision was filled with the most beautiful face this side of the Mississippi river, even upside down. Baby blues blinked, twinkling with mirth (like stars he thought...brighter than stars) and her tiny body twisted this way and that with the aerial silk until she hung upright above the bar. Mickey watched every move, unable to- and frankly he didn't care to- tear his gaze from the girl before him as she set herself down on the counter.

Slim arms around his neck, warm breath against his cheek and soft lips against his own. He was supposed to go to court tomorrow morning to present evidence...but for the life of him he couldn't remember what time.

This pic does take place before the little drabble I wrote, most likely Mickey's first visit to Jose's bar and first encounter with the entertainment there. It was suggested I put glitter in her fur and I thought it was both a neat idea and fit with the theme of the pic...I hope I didn't over do it though.

Sorry I'm a bit too lazy and tired for backgrounds...
